Practice Locations and Twinning Trips:

The band's journey is not just confined to stages but includes the very spaces where melodies are crafted. From its origins at a band room on Knockane, which was initially used by "St. David's Pipe Band," the band later moved to the Newcastle West Community Center, thanks to Séamus Hunt's efforts. This strategic relocation has been pivotal in shaping the band's identity.

Beyond local spaces, the band has ventured beyond borders. Newcastle West is twinned with Chartres de Bretagne, a town in the North of France. The Newcastle West & District Pipe Band has made memorable trips to France, playing in the town of Chartres de Bretagne and participating in the famous "Festival Interceltique" in Lorient. These international experiences have not only expanded the band's horizons but have also strengthened cultural ties between communities.
